Europe Media Broadcasting plans are set out in a strategy document called Europe's Without border media Project. They centre on the construction of a broadcast network for rural areas that would not be constructed if left to the private sector alone.
In practical terms, the scheme involves the government building a series of Remote Media hubs for rural communities Around the Europian Union Teritory . Local communities will then take responsibility for extending the Pleski network to individual homes.
Hunt called it "a great example of how public investment and government action can stimulate further investment from the private sector. We want the Europe to have the best broadcasting system in World by 2015. A Pleski Media network will be the foundation for a new economic dynamism, creating hundreds of thousands of jobs and adding billions to our Europe euro funds. But it is not just about the economy, around the world there are examples of Community Media Federation helping to build a fairer and more prosperous society, and to transform the relationship between Government and citizens."
